Her memorial service was scheduled for this morning at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carolyn Kuhr officiating. A fellowship luncheon, sponsored by P.E.O. and St. Mark's Guild, was to follow the service at the church.
Betty was born Nov. 22, 1910, to Oto and Gertrude North in Billings. She graduated from Billings High School and attended Stephens College in Missouri.
In 1933, she married Gerald O. Honadel and moved to Helena, where her husband worked for the state Auditor's Office. From 1943 to 1945, while her husband was in the Army Engineers in Manila, she held a variety of jobs. After World War II, she and her husband started Honadel Co., where she assisted him until 1949.
After her husband died in 1966, she was a Welcome Wagon hostess, a doctor's receptionist, a children's magazine representative, a teacher's aide, and volunteered at Saint Mark's Church, where she was an elder and a guild member. She also volunteered at the senior center and Northern Montana Hospital. She traveled frequently in the United States and Europe. She represented Havre as a friendship ambassador to England.
Since moving to Havre, Betty was a P.E.O. and Daughter's of the Nile member, as well as a charter member of a sewing club and a bridge club of which she took an active part until her death.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband; son, Rand; and daughter, Gayle.
