TURNER - Alice Hutton, 88 years old, passed away at the Northern Montana Care Center on April 2, 2005 due to natural causes.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Turner Christian Church with burial following in the Turner Cemetery.
Alice was born Oct. 12, 1916, at
Caldwell to Albert and Isabelle (Mortinson) Haugen.
She married Leonard Hutton on Nov. 14, 1936, in Chinook. They lived in Turner and farmed and ranched northeast of Turner.
Alice enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, making quilts, socializing with friends and relatives, and her annual spring trips to California. Alice moved to the Grande Villa in Chinook in September of 1997, where she met many new friends and enjoyed many tea parties.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, in 1974; infant daughter, Serena, in 1944; parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her children, Hazel (Gordon) Booth of Cascade, Maxine Miller of Monterey Park, Calif., and Hugh (Elaine) Hutton of Sidney; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many relatives and friends.
Memorials may be sent to the Turner Christian Church.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
