ROBERT BOLEY obituary

MESQUITE, Nev. - Robert Duane "Bob" Boley, 64, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, of a heart attack in Mesquite, Nev.

Bob's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bob was born to Duane and Barbara "Bobbie" Boley in Glasgow on

July 9, 1940. Bob graduated from Glasgow High School in 1958. He graduated from Northern Montana College in 1962, where he excelled in football and baseball. He received his master's degree in counseling from the University of Montana.

In 1979, he married his sweetheart, Barbara Strong.

Bob began his teaching and coaching career in Outlook. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam conflict. After the war, he taught in Dodson, Lodge Grass and Havre, where he was vice principal until 1977. He was principal at Poplar High School from 1977 to 1980 and at Colstrip High School from 1980 to 1987.

Bob and Barbara moved to Lakeside, where they owned and operated the Spinnaker. In 1993, they sold the Spinnaker.

Bob was an avid sports fan and a Green bay Packer follower. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards and carpentry. Bob was a past master of Havre Lodge, AF/AM in Havre, as well as a member of Algeria Shrine. Bob was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Duane and Barbara Boley.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, a resident of Lakeside and Mesquite, Nev.; children, Staci (Otis) Thrasher of Butte, Qui Boley of Missoula, Shaun (Kari) Boley of Boise, Idaho, and Casey Boley of Inverness; four grandchildren; sister, Barbara Diane Boley of Great Falls; brother, Terry (Diann) Boley of Kent, Wash.; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Rheta Housman of Mesquite, Nev.

Memorials may be sent to the Heart fund, Shrine Hospital in Spokane, Wash., QRU Lakeside, or a charity of one's choice. Condolences may be sent to the Boley family at P.O. Box 297, Lakeside, MT 59922.
