CASPER, Wyo. - Kirk Jay Johnson, 47, formerly of Kremlin, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, in a Casper hospital of complications of a stroke.
Cremation has taken place, and burial of ashes will be at Highland Cemetery in Havre.
Kirk was born May 16, 1957, in Havre to
Norton and Mary (Winter) Johnson of Kremlin. He was raised and attended school in Kremlin.
He married Tracie Dropps on June 30, 1979. They eventually moved to Casper, headquarters of Ellenberg Oil, for whom he worked in the oil fields for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tracie; an infant child; his parents; and sister, Greta.
Survivors include his daughters, Nicole (Mike Roohr) of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and Kristen (Steve Gates) of Casper, Wyo.; brothers, Con Johnson of Bracken, Saskatchewan, and Larry and Rodney Johnson of Kremlin; sister, Carra Johnson Callies of Annandale, Va.; grandson, Michael of Fort Wainwright; granddaughter, RaeLynn of Casper.
