GREAT FALLS - Jack Trotchie, formerly of Havre, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls due to liver cancer.
At the family's request, no services are planned.
Jack was born March 28, 1927, in Havre. He attended St. Jude School.
Jack married Janet Kennedy on Nov. 18, 19545. They divorced in 1979. She died on Dec. 6, 1995.
He married Virginia Christian on April 20, 1980.
Jack served in the Army occupation of Austria from 1945-47, after World War II. He rejoined the Army to serve in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. He was wounded on June 5, 1951, and received the Purple Heart. He was also decorated with a Bronze Star for valor.
Jack worked for 33 years as a route salesman for Northern Linen Supply. He played fast-pitch softball, bowled and golfed.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Trotchie of Great Falls; daughters, Vicki (Fred) Jones of boise, Idaho, Linda (Patrick) O'Rourke of Bellevue, Wash., and Patricia (Mike) Ure of Lynden, Wash.; stepdaughters, Christine (Peter) Barker of Cairns, Australia, and Paula Schafer of Great Falls; sons, Jack M. Trotchie of Salt Lake City, Jim (Nadine) Trotchie of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kerry Trotchie of Seattle; stepson, David Wieweck of Lewistown; sisters, Lorraine Mee of Fairfield and Laura Cole of Dodson; brothers, Walter and Raymond, both of Post Falls, Idaho, Michael of Great Falls and Larry of Helena; 13 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
