BERTHA NICHOLS obituary

Bertha (Bert) Leona Campbell Nichols, 90, of Havre died Monday, March 14, 2005, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 730 W. 13th St. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Bertha

was born to George and Lillian (Crosley) Campbell North of Havre. She attended school in Havre and graduated from Bigfork High School in 1936. The family lived in Bigfork for a short period of time and then returned to Havre.

Bertha married Russell Nichols in Big Fork and the couple moved to Havre in 1948.

Bertha has been an active member of the Havre congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for more than 60 years. She will be fondly remembered by many as the little old lady with the black hat and red coat who always carried her book bag and Bible.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; and son, Ronald.

Survivors include her daughter, Myrla (Dan) Coats of St. Francis, Minn.; sister, Belva (Ernie) Hanson of Kalispell; brother, Leslie (Bud) Louise Campbell of Havre; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Northern Montana Care Center or to one's own choice.

Services are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
