CHINOOK - Francis H. Molyneaux, 80, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 8, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation has taken place.
Francis was born to Hiram and Olive
(Dennis) Molyneaux on Nov. 19, 1924, at the Clear Creek Ranch south of Chinook. He attended schools at Lohman and Chinook High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In 1949, he married Viola Scheck and they later divorced. In 1978, he married Miyoko Guertzgen.
Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and bowling, as well as spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Come summer time, he would putter around his garden and yard with his black powder gun in hand looking for pesky animals. His hobbies included woodcarving with a special twinkle in his eye, and he was always willing to part with one of his newly carved treasures to all interested family and friends. Later in life, when his travel was limited, Francis turned to e-mail as a form of continued communication to his family.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Miyoko Molyneaux, of Chinook; children, Michael (Suzanne) Molyneaux of Helena, Carla (Dan) Rask of Harrison, Candace (Luigi) Pescosolido of Helena, Charles (Gail) Molyneaux of Belgrade, Patrick (Kathi) Molyneaux of Chinook, Vanessa (Kyle) McMurray of Bozeman, Maree (Tom) Becker of Livingston, Frances (Rich) Woolman of Bozeman, Mathew (Paula) Molyneaux of Chinook, Rick Guertzgen of Seattle, Wash., Janet Davies of Naples, Fla., and George Chancellor of Three Forks; 32 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and Peanuts, Francis and Miyoko's pet bird.
Memorials may be sent to Blaine County Ambulance I.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
