Steve Flatau officiating, with burial to follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the services at the graveside.

Leon was born May 22, 1912, south of Kremlin on a homestead to John and Anna Vosen. He was raised on the family place and attended country school. Leon worked for his parents on the farm and eventually took over its operation.

Leon met Anne Klimko through a mutual friend and the two began corresponding. Anne then came out west to meet Leon, and the two were married on Feb. 4, 1950, in Havre.

Leon and Anne moved to the Vosen family farm, where they lived and worked together for 48 years. Anne died in 1998, and Leon continued to live at the farm until his health prevented him from staying and he entered into the hospital. He moved to Northern Montana Care Center in January of 2005.

Leon was an excellent grain farmer and very good with animals. He loved horses and his cows. He was a very giving person and was always there to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends with brandings or calving. Leon enjoyed farming and playing cards, especially cribbage. He always had a positive attitude and outlook on life his famous words were "this too shall pass." The love of his life was his wife, Anne. They shared many years together and were each other's confidants. Leon was a member of the Montana Stock Growers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; four sisters; and his wife, Anne, on Sept. 25, 1998.

Leon is survived by his sister Adeline of Washington; sister-in-law, Mary Zager of Griffin, Ga; nieces and nephews; and all of his friends and neighbors.

Memorials in Leon's honor may be made to the Assembly of God, 901 Ninth St. W., Havre, MT 59501 or to a memorial of one's choice.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
