Lorraine Helen Louise Richards, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Ila McClenahan officiating. Burial will follow at the

Highland Cemetery.

Lorraine was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Burlington, Wis., to Louie and Esther (Oberg) Lightfield. When she was a young girl, she moved with her family to Sidney, where she attended country school. The family later moved to Havre.

On Nov. 4, 1930, Lorraine married James Richards in Havre. They made their home in Havre and raised five children.

Lorraine was a great cook. She made homemade root beer and ice cream for her children and all of the children in the neighborhood. She knitted sweaters for her family, made rugs and crocheted. She decorated and kept a neat and spotless home. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, and loved to go dancing in her younger days and was an avid reader.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, James Richards, in 1972; parents; two brothers; one sister; one stepsister; and one stepbrother.

Survivors include her daughters, Joice Unruh (Roger) Philippi of Havre, Mary (Harland) Adams of Grand Junction, Colo., and Darlene Church of Havre; sons, Jim (Audrey) Richards of Whitefish and Bob Richards of Yuma, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions made be made to the American Cancer Society.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
