McKINNEY, Texas - Martha Evelyn Dahlman, 87, of McKinney, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in McKinney.

A memorial service was held last Monday at Trinity Presbyterian Church. A graveside served followed at 1 p.m. at the D/FW National Cemetery in Dallas.

Martha was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William Ryne and Blanche (Tinius) Guilfoil. She was raised in Louisville, Ky., where she attended public school and the University of Louisville.

She married Ira Ralph Dahlman, a native of Glasgow, Mont., on Nov. 26, 1946, in Washington, D.C. She then moved to Havre, Mont., for a short while before moving to Minnesota for the next 55 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a state vice regent for Minnesota.

The Dahlmans moved to McKinney in 2002 to be near their son and his family. Mrs. Dahlman was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Ralph Dahlman; son, Ira Ralph Dahlman Jr. of McKinney; daughter, Marilyn Spielman of Rockford, Ill .; seven grandchildren; and a brother, William Guilfoil of Columbus, N.C.,.
