Faye Ruth Dudek, 82, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Highland Cemetery. There will be a fellowship luncheon imme-
diately afterward at the St. Jude Parish Center.
Faye was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Gildford to Edward W. Sapp and Margaret Jane (Fahey) Sapp. She was baptized Oct. 18, 1922. She attended a country school near Gildford.
On July 17, 1939, Faye married Everett M. Converse in Chinook.
Then on Dec. 23, 1949, in Chinook, Faye married Richard L. Dudek.
Faye never forgot a birthday, and her door was always open. Her toy drawer and candy dish were always full for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing softball and won many trophies bowling. She was a very hard worker, from raising chickens and milking cows with her sister Beryl, to running a boarding house, working as a waitress, working in a bakery, to raising six kids. She took care of her parents and also her in-laws. She loved to fish, hunt and was always crocheting something.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Dudek; parents; daughters, Minta (Converse) Baskett, Francis R. Converse and Rosella A. (Converse) Williams; one brother; six sisters; and five great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Everett C. (Delva) Converse of Hardin; daughters, Julia L. (Terry) Murdoff of Alliance, Neb., Debra J. (Paul) Moad of Calgary, Alberta; sons-in-law, Randall H. Baskett, Gamaliel, Ky., and Mike D. Williams of Havre; sister, Glenna F. Engdahl of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers, Edwin A. (Ellen) Sapp of Great Falls, Henry E. (Juliet) Sapp of Havre and Larry J. (Marjorie) Sapp of Havre; sisters-in-law, Mildred M. Keene of Havre and Florence (Dudek) Devers of Ashland, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
