Donna Mildred Sivertsen Goldberg, 73, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Northern Montana Care Center.
A service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church.
Donna was born in Havre on Nov. 21, 1931, to Selmer and Lillie Sivertsen.
She spent her early years in Havre and Shelby. Her family moved to Chinook in 1941. She was valedictorian of the Chinook High School Class of 1949.
Donna married Harold Goldberg on Sept. 28,1952. They lived on a farm near Inverness and had two daughters. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, reading and playing piano.
Donna got her associate of arts degree at Northern Montana College and worked as a medical secretary at the Montana Department of Health in Helena until she married in 1952.
She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and was active in Bethel Lutheran Church in Joplin and at the First Lutheran Church in Havre. She was a member of Anna's Circle with Bethel Lutheran. She did volunteer work at the Liberty County nursing home, visiting with residents, playing piano and fixing hair. She did volunteer work with the Literacy Volunteers of America in Havre.
She worked several years as a postal clerk in Inverness. She also worked as a clerk for a law firm and with the Havre Daily News.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Selmer and Lillie Sivertsen; husband, Harold; daughter Jill; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie (Wayne) Treers of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jennifer Winters of Havre; former son-in-law, Greg Winters of Havre; granddaughters, Kristen and Kira Treers of Las Cruces, N.M.; niece, Valerie Hickman of Havre; and nephew, Tim Van Wechel of Inverness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Kitty Keepers, c/o PJ's Restaurant, Havre, MT 59501 or the Havre Animal Shelter, 265-2959.
