NORMAN BOUCHER obituary

Norman George Boucher, 95, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brad Ulgenes officiating, with burial to follow at the Highland

Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club immediately after the service at the graveside.

Norman was born Nov. 12, 1909, to Charles and Angeline (Scott) Boucher in Max Bass, N.D. Norman and his family moved to Havre when he was a young boy and homesteaded in the Bear Paw Mountains.

On July 26, 1930, Norman married Ruth Christiansen in Havre. Norman worked in construction, carpentry and as a cement mason. He was a jack of all trades. He retired in 1974. He had a great love of the outdoors and continued his carpentry work as a hobby. He was talented at playing many musical instruments and especially loved the violin, which he played at many dances. Norman was a gentle man and loved his children and grandchildren very much. He always had a smile for everyone he met, and he was always singing a little song or whistling a happy tune.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Juanita; son Charles; five brothers; six sisters; and son-in-law, Dean Howard.

Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Ruth Boucher of Havre; children, Lawrence (Rayella) Boucher of Havre, Edward (Beverly) Boucher of Havre, Doris Howard of Auburn, Wash., Terry (Patricia) Boucher of Havre; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
