THREE FORKS - Phillip George Wendland, 18, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in a vehicle accident near Willow Creek.
A funeral service was scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Three Forks United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A community celebration of life will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the Three Forks High School gymnasium.
Phillip was born on July 1, 1986, in Bozeman to Connie (Hangas) Hussung and Joseph Wendland.
Phillip loved the the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping with close friends and family. He loved hanging out with friends. His free spirit and sense of adventure were infectious. Phillip died with his friends, right where he wanted to be.
Survivors include his mother, Connie (Matthew) Hussung; father, Joseph Wendland; brother, Brandon Wendland; sister, Madison Hussung; grandparents, Phil and Joyce Hangas, Lorena Wendland; stepgrandparents, Harold and Joan Hussung; great-grandmother, Ruth Snyder; 16 aunts and uncles; 13 great-aunts and great-uncles; and many cousins.
