BRIAN HENRY obituary

Brian Christopher "Chris" Henry, 45, was killed in a train accident Monday morning, Nov. 1, 2004, 18 miles east of Malta.

A prayer vigil service will be 7 p.m. today and the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, both at the St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre with

the Rev. Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. There will be a fellowship at the Box Elder Catholic Church following the graveside services.

Chris was born on May 18, 1959, to David G. and Mary Louise (Boushie) Henry in Havre. He was raised and educated in Box Elder and graduated from Box Elder High School.

After high school, Chris worked on area farms and for General Mills in Box Elder. He also attended Northern Montana College. He then went to work for United Building Center in Havre in 1999 and was employed there at the time of his death. Chris moved to Havre to live in 2001 and began working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in May of 2004.

Chris enjoyed fishing, riding horses and hunting. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oakland Raiders. Chris had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was known as the gentle giant. Chris always gave to others and never expected anything in return.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Paul, in 1963.

Survivors include his son, Kipp Henry of Havre; brothers Dale (Linda), Ted, and Mark (Jackie) Henry; sisters, Nancy (Tim), Meredith and Theresa Henry, all of Great Falls; fiancee, Lorena Johnson and her daughters, Ty and Berlee Hewitt, all of Havre; nephews, Chad (Daidre) Henry and Chase Meredith, both of Great Falls; nieces, Christian Meredith and Emily Stoop, both of Great Falls; and great-niece, Cynthia Henry of Great Falls.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
