LILLIAN FRANK obituary

LEWISTOWN - Lillian May Frank, 78, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at the Central Mopntana Skilled Nursing Center in Lewistown of natural causes.

A private memorial service will be hald Nov. 6 for family and close friends. Cremation has taken place at her request.

Lillian was born on March 29, 1926, in Rudyard to Arnold Chester and Helen Francis (McCann) Langel.

In 1944, she married Howard Lee Phifer in Havre, where they lived for several years. They later divorced and she moved to Lewistown, where she raised her children. Her life revolved around her work and children and she never detoured from either.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bud and Gerry Langel.

Survivors include her children, Lily (Chuck) Girvin of Oakley, Calif., Sharon Layr of Lewistown, Arnold Phifer of Chandler, Ariz., and Dave (Sharon) Phifer of Lewistown; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Duaine Langel of Missoula, Richard Langel of Billings and Stanley Langel of Kalispell; sisters, Lucille Miller in Oregon, Audrey Kaercher of Havre, Katherine Brandt of Rudyard and Dorothy Langel of Chester; and her very special friend, Hazel Killham of Lewistown.

The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
