HARLEM - Catherine L. Wilson, 94, a longtime resident of Harlem, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home due to natural causes.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Saint Thomas Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Catholic Church, with burial following in the Harlem Cemetery.
Catherine was born on April 11, 1910, in Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan, to Fred and Mary (Metchuk) Andrews. Catherine came with her parents to Caldwell by wagon from Lone Tree, Saskatchewan, when she was 3 years old.
Catherine married Earl Wilson on Sept. 5, 1936, in Havre. She worked as a waitress and in a dry cleanibng business, as well as being a housewife.
Catherine was a member of the Saint Thomas Catholic Church and was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary in Harlem.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wilson in 1975; son, Theodore "Ted" Wilson in 1987; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Rose (Bill) Jesse of Lebanon, Mo., and Hazel (Lou) Sullivan of Flemington, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Buzzard of Yuma, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
