ALBERT CHRISTIAN obituary

Albert Joseph Christian, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

Viewing will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. His

funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Grosch officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship will be held at the St. Jude Parish Center immediately following the graveside service.

Albert was born on March 24, 1917, in Whitefish to John and Josephine Christian. He worked for 40 years for the Great Northern Railway, which became Burlington Northern Railway. He retired in 1977.

Albert married Anna (Peggy) O'Connell on Oct. 31, 1945, in Great Falls. The couple moved to Havre in 1950. The couple had four children. Albert dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His life revolved around his family and he loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed having his family around him on birthdays and holidays. Albert was a member of St. Jude's Church and the Knights of Columbus. After retiring, Albert and his wife did some traveling prior to his wife's death in 1995.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna (Peggy) Christian; brothers Tony, Louie and Frank; and sister, Rose.

Survivors include his sister, Eva Christian of Whitefish; daughters, Aline (Bill) Miller of Redmond, Ore., Clara (Robert) Litzinger of Havre; sons, John (Julee) Christian of Havre and Frank Christian of Havre; grandchildren, Terry Miller of Redmond, Ore., Scott Christian, Michael (Cathee) Litzinger, Jody (Jason) Keeling, Jim (Melissa) Litzinger, Cory Litzinger, Tony Christian, and John Christian, all of Havre, Michelle (Kenny) Tanner of Great Falls and Heather (Aaron) Bricker of Great Falls; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in honor of Albert may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus School Education Trust Fund, 624 Fourth St., Havre, MT 59501 or to one's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
