MIKE DANIEL obituary

CHINOOK - Mike J. Daniel, 50, died at his hunting camp north of Winnett on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, due to natural causes.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre. Viewing will be Thursday afternoon at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel from 1 to 6 p.m. and at St. Jude's Catholic Church from 7 to 9 p.m. At his

wishes, cremation will take place.

Mike was born on July 18, 1954, to Louis and Margaret (Heeter) Daniel. He

was raised

in Havre and

attended St. Jude

Thaddeus Catholic School and graduated from Havre High School in 1973. He played football for the Havre Blue Ponies. Mike was an avid bowhunter and was the Bow Hunter Education instructor for this area. He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots.

Mike worked for the Burlington-Northern Railway for 29 years and was currently a conductor. He enjoyed being at his farm south of Zurich doing odd jobs.

In 1973, he married Susan Birdwell. They later divorced and he married Lindy Brekke in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Lindy Brekke of Chinook; son, Michael Daniel of Los Angeles, Calif .; daughter, Andrea Everingham of Havre; brother, Craig Daniel of Cortez, Colo .; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks bowhunters education program.
