OLIVIA STUMP obituary

ROCKY BOY - Olivia Flying Stump, 68, a retired teacher's assistant, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

A funeral service was scheduled for last Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Burial was to follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Olivia was born on Sept. 23, 1935, in Lodge Pole to Irving and Dora (Thinker) Flying. She was raised and educated at Lodge Pole and received her G.E.D. from Montana State University-Northern.

She married Rocky Stump Sr. in 1952. They had seven children and resided in Rocky Boy. They divorced in 1995

Olivia was employed for many years at the Rocky Boy Elementary School as a teacher's assistant, until she retired in 1992.

Survivors include her daughters, Doris (Chester) Windy Boy, Sandra Taylor and Cynthia Stump, all of Rocky Boy, and LaVonne (Randy) Ellis of Havre; sons, Ron (Theresa) Stump of Lame Deer and Rocky Stump Jr. of Rocky Boy; adopted sons, Kelly Eagleman of Rocky Boy and Willie Strong of Red Lake, Minn .; sisters, Margaret (Algie) Piapot and Roberta (Joe) Big Knife of Rocky Boy; brother, Duane Flying of Fort Belknap.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Myrna and Ilene; three brothers; a daughter; and a granddaughter.

Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
