GLORIA CHAMBERLAIN obituary

Gloria E. Chamberlain, 77, died on Monday, July 26, 2004, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial will follow at the

Calvary Cemetery. A fellowship will follow at the Eagles Club.

Gloria was born on Aug. 27, 1926, at Box Elder to George and Myrtle (Quamme) Daniel. She attended the West Fort and Daniel country schools. She attended Havre High School and went to the East Coast with her sister after graduation.

Gloria returned to Havre, where she met Donald L. Chamberlain. They were married in 1945 and made their home in Havre. Gloria worked as a bartender and barmaid at the Eagles Club in Havre. She also was secretary for the Clear Creek Trailer Court for many years.

Her passion was ceramics, and she loved to teach people the art of ceramics. She began teaching out of her home in 1976 and became semi retired in 2001.

In her younger years, Gloria enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also liked visiting relatives in Minnesota and traveling with her sister Arlene. She was a charter member of the Eagles and served on the Eagles Auxiliary and drill team.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald L. Chamberlain in 1966; one sister; and one brother.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Chamberlain of Havre; sisters, Arlene Brown of Havre and Joyce Hecht of Albany, Ore .; brothers, Mark Daniel and Lee Daniel, both of Fort Benton; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the North Central Senior Citizens Center, 2 W. Second St., Havre, MT 59501.
