Joyce Warp, 74, of Havre died Saturday, July 19, 2004, of cancer at her daughter's residence in Missoula.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday
at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rodney Mruk officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Following the burial will be a luncheon at the church.
Joyce was born on July 10, 1930, at the family ranch near Lohman to Ross (Amos) and Ida Sedona (Maeirt) Miewald. She attended school in Chinook and then went onto Northern Montana College, where she received a two year degree.
On Dec. 14, 1952, in Havre, Joyce married Glenn Warp.
Joyce began her lifelong dedication of working with the elderly as office manager at the Lutheran Home Of The Good Shepherd and continued at the Northern Montana Care Center.
Joyce was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was a member of Sons of Norway, A.F.S., Senior Connection, WELCA and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Joyce enjoyed volunteering at the MSU-Northern Business Office, NMCC and the North Central Senior Citizens Center. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert; and husband, Glenn, who died in 1988.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Kerry) Ward of Havre, Vicki Warp of Missoula and Carol (Joe) Dearborn of Portland, Ore.; sister, Nancy Pierce of Missoula; brother, John Miewald of San Clemente, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Memorials in Joyce's honor may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 417 20th St., Havre, MT 59501.
Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
