It is Beaver Blast week at Beaver Creek Golf Course. This week marks the first of three majors that are held at BCGC. But before we look ahead to the week that will be, let's take a look back at the week that was.
In men's league action on Tuesday night, Stockman Bank continued to roll over the competition by scoring 26.5 points. The team is composed of Murray Barkus, Chuck Wimmer, Tom Adams and Dave Herman. Murray Hurlburt earned low-gross honors by firing an even-par 36, and Russ Luke was low net with a 31.
On Wednesday night, the weather was the big story as players battled gale force winds and cold temperatures. Master Sports prevailed to earn high team honors with 23.5 points. Playing for Master Sports was Ryan Divish, Barry Kato, Kyle Sheppard and Wayne Bolken. Greg Munson fired an even-par 36 to earn low-gross honors for the night, and Mark Henderson was low net with a 32.
Men's league action will continue this week with Hi-Line Drilling and Farnik Bin Sales out on Tuesday. Tilleman Motors has a bye on Wednesday night.
In Thursday night women's league action, 15 West earned high team honors. The team is composed of Julie Mariani, Laurie Hurlburt, Teresa Brown and Danya Springer. Terri Earl was low gross with a 47 and she was also low net with a 31.5.
The annual Beaver Blast will get under way Saturday morning and conclude on Sunday afternoon. The tournament is a two-man stroke play tournament with a modified stableford scoring system. You can sign up in the pro shop at Beaver Creek Golf Course.
