JUSTIN WING obituary

LODGE POLE - Justin Lee Wing, 50, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at a Butte hospital of complications due to cancer.

A traditional pipe ceremony was scheduled for Sunday evening at the Medicine Bear Lodge in Lodge Pole. A traditional funeral ceremony was set for today at the Medicine Bear Lodge in Lodge Pole. Burial was to be in the Lodge Pole Cemetery.

Justin was born at Fort Belknap Agency on June 1, 1954, to Alfred Bradley and Mary Agnes Wing.

Throughout his life he worked as a firefighter, general laborer, and did some ranch work.

Justin was proud of his Assiniboine heritage and led a deeply spiritual, traditional lifestyle. He participated in many sweats and sundances. He enjoyed horsehair braiding, attending powwows, and visiting with friends.

Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Agnes; brother, Burl Wing; grandparents, Isabelle and Leo Wing; and granddaughter, Dont Leigh Moore.

Survivors include his daughter, Rosella Moore of Fort Belknap; adopted daughter, Lisa Wing of Washka, Wyo.; son, Gabriel Wing of Washka, Wyo.; father, Alfred Bradley; brothers, Orville Bird of Lodge Pole, James Bird of Great Falls; uncles, Dennis Wing, Melvin Wing, Joseph "Chub" Wing; aunts, Rosalee Wing, Elmyra Wing, Jolene Sears; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
