TURNER - Jewell C. Cederberg, 96, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at a Havre care center.
A funeral service was scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the Turner American Lutheran Church with burial following in the Turner Cemetery.
Jewell was born in
Springfield, Mo., on May 22, 1908, to Benjamin and Mettie (Tranthan) Adams. When she was 5, Jewell and her family moved to Glasgow to homestead. She attended both rural and city schools at Glasgow.

Jewell contributed many hours to the American Legion Auxiliary and served as a Girl Scout leader for several years. One of her greatest joys was furnishing fresh flowers for both of the Turner churches.
Jewell had been a resident at the Northern Montana Care Center since Feb. 20, 1998. She carried on an active life during her tenure at the care center, attending the many social events, playing bingo every Monday and Thursday, and attending church services. She loved all holidays, especially Christmas.
