Georgia Scot Kidd, 61, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion, Iowa, after a short illness.
A memorial service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Joplin, with lunch following.
Georgia was born March 4, 1943, in Belleville, Ill., the daughter of George and Dorothy Parent Fox. She grew up in Iron Mountain, Mich., until the family moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., where she graduated from high school and attended Arizona State University. Georgia married David Kidd on June 8, 1963, in Scottsdale, and moved to the Kidd family farm in Montana. They were married for 24 years. She was very involved in church and community activities.
Georgia graduated from Northern Montana College in 1989 and moved to Iowa in 1995. She retired from Four Oaks in 2001.
Her parents, an infant daughter, Kimberly Rae, and an infant sister, Sharon, preceded Georgia in death.
Georgia is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Michael) Rieger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a son, Troy (Debra) Kidd of Redding, Calif; a brother, Patrick Fox of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
