WASHINGTON - Janyne M. Oberdorfer, 47, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, in Washington, D.C., where she had lived since 1984.
A dedication and memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on July 3 at the site of a tree planted in her honor along the banks of the Clark Fork River. The tree is located at the far west end of Caras Park near the Clark Fork Manor, 301 W. Front St.
Janyne was born on Aug. 3, 1956. She graduated from Havre High School in 1974 and from the University of Montana. She was a former employee of Blue Mountain Womens' Clinic and First Security Bank.
Janyne is survived by her husband, William Oberdorfer of Washington; son, Matthew Oberdorfer of Washington; mother, Lila Roh of Missoula; father, William Roh of Billings; and brother, Mike Roh of Austin, Texas.
