Donald Lafe Christiansen, 70, a retired sheet metal worker, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at a Havre hospital of heart failure.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial will
follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the services at the graveside.
Donald was born on Sept. 18, 1933, in Havre to Lafe J. and Ethel M. (Donald) Christiansen. He was raised and educated in Havre.
He married Juanita Stimson on Aug. 18, 1950, in Chinook. The couple made their home in Havre and raised their family.
Donald worked for Havre Builders Supply Company and Hanson Sheet Metal. He retired in 1992.
Donald enjoyed fishing, gardening and flowers. He was a member of the Northwest Sheet Metal Workers and the Teamsters union.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Christiansen of Havre; daughters, Karen (John) Larson of Helena, and Marion (Dan) Schaub, Dawn (David) Arensmeyer, Cheri (Mick) Linderman, all of Havre; sons, Ben and Kevin Christiansen, both of Havre; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
