Thomas W. Tully, 51, a certified physician's assistant at the Rocky Boy Clinic, died Friday, June 4, 2004, from injuries he suffered in a vehicle crash on Taylor Road south of Havre.
Cremation has taken place and his memorial service will be June 26 at West Yellowstone. The time will be announced at a later time.
Tom was
born on May 15, 1953, in Newfoundland, Canada, on a military base to Gordon and Blanche (Stefanowicz) Tully. He was raised and educated in many places. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center and obtained his bachelor's degree in the physician's assistant program. He was certified by the Idaho Medical Board and was working as a certified physician's assistant at the Rocky Boy Health Center, where he worked since September of 2003. Tom would have completed his assignment in July of this year.
Tom married Lynn Gehman on Sept. 30, 1989.
Tom loved fly fishing. He also enjoyed golfing, skiing, cooking, the outdoors and the mountain country. He was very proud of his profession and worked hard to achieve his credentials. He was a member of the Snake River Cutthroats, Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers. Tom was professionally associated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants since 1984.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Tully, and daughter, Morgan Tully, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; parents, Gordon and Blanche Tully of Denver, Colo .; sister, Kathy (Bob) Heien of Denver, Colo .; and two nieces.
Memorials in Tom's honor may be made to the Morgan Tully College Fund, c/o Bank of America, 110 North Holmes, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
