ROBERT GEBOE obituary

ROCKY BOY - Robert C. Geboe, 67, whose Indian name Hebas means Beaver, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at a Havre hospital after a battle with cancer.

A wake service began Thursday night at Rocky Boy Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Rocky Boy Catholic Church with a funeral service beginning 10 a.m. Saturday, also at the Rocky Boy Catholic

Church. Burial will follow at the Parker Canyon Family Cemetery at Rocky Boy.

Robert was born April 30, 1937, to Robert C. and Emily

(White

Plume) in Riverton, Wyo. He was raised in Wyoming and attended St. Stephens Catholic Grade School in Arapaho, Wyo. He then attended St. Paul's Mission High School in Marty, S.D. After high school, he attended Haskell College in Lawrence, Kan.

Robert met Elsie in Lawrence at school and they were married on May 23, 1958, in Casper, Wyo. They made their home in Casper, where Robert worked for a trucking company. They lived in Casper until 1970 and then moved to Rocky Boy. He worked as a carpenter and a contractor for Rocky Boy Housing and then became self-employed with G.P. Construction. Robert worked with Jim Sleeter on many buildings in Havre, including the Ryan Building, Western Drug, Boxcars, Holiday Village Shopping Center and IGA. He also worked on many homes in the Rocky Boy and Box Elder areas.

Robert enjoyed fishing, horse racing and bowling. He especially loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always had a good sense of humor and liked to be around others to share his humor with them.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rhonda Geboe.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elsie Geboe of Rocky Boy; daughters, Pamela (Ken) Geboe Doney of Hays, Carla Geboe of Rocky Boy, Jacqueline (Ned) Chapman of Sitka, Alaska, Anastacia "Stacy" (Kyle Brockie) Geboe of Havre; sons, Robert C. Geboe III of Rocky Boy and Michael Geboe of Rocky Boy; sister, Thelma Dewey of Arapaho, Wyo .; 27 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home
