GILBERT CLIFF obituary

LODGE POLE - Gilbert C. Cliff, 68, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

A wake service was held late Monday afternoon at the Medicine Bear Lodge in Lodge Pole. A funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Medicine

Bear Lodge with burial to follow at the Healy Family Cemetery in Lodge Pole.

Gilbert was born on Jan. 9, 1936, at Fort Belknap to Thomas and Olivia (Healy) Cliff. He attended grade school at Lodge Pole and one year at a Pierre, S.D., boarding school. He was a lifelong resident of the Lodge Pole area, working on ranches and construction. He retired at the age of 65 and had continued living in Lodge Pole.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy Has Eagle of Lodge Pole; sons, Willie Has Eagle and Kim Cliff, both of Lodge Pole, Craig Cliff of Harlem, and Erwin Little Sun of Rocky Boy; brother, Albert Cliff of Benton City, Wash .; sisters, Violet Wing and Christine Main, both of Lodge Pole, and Virginia Furhman of Harlem.

Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
