Barber, Roseberry lead Chinook girls to third-place finish at District 2B track meet

The Chinook Sugarbeeter girls had a solid showing at the District 2B track meet, finishing third behind champion Malta and second-place Plentywood.

The Sugarbeeters got solid performances from sophomores Georgia Barber and Crystal Roseberry. Barber won the 200 and the high jump and finished third in the 400, while Roseberry won the long and triple jumps and finished third in the 200 meters.

Brittany Williams won the discus for Chinook with a toss of 114-9. She also finished third in the shot put.

Whitney Lybeck also scored solid points for Chinook, finishing second in the 100 and high jump and fourth in the high jump.

On the boys side, Harlem finished fifth with 24 points, while Chinook finished seventh with 18.

John Young picked up thirds in the long jump and high jump for the Wildcats. Kelan Broadhead and John Dawson scored points for Chinook.
