ALBINA O'LOUGHLIN obituary

GREAT FALLS - Albina M. "Alvina" O'Loughlin, 90, died of natural causes Tuesday, May 12, 2004, at a Great Falls hospice.

A vigil service was held Thursday evening and a funeral liturgy was held Friday morning. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Albina was born on Feb. 28,

1914, at Savoy. She was educated at Savoy and Havre. She graduated from Havre High School and the College of St. Benedict in Collegeville, Minn.

She married Mark P. O'Loughlin on June 7, 1941 in Harlem. She taught at Lima High School and Harlem High School. In 1942, they moved to Great Falls, where she was longtime substitute teacher.

She was a member of St. Gerard's Parish and Holy Spirit Parish and Altar Society. She also was a member of Sacred Heart Circle, was active in Central Catholic High School Mothers Club and in the International Typographical Union Women's Auxiliary.

She enjoyed participating in activities with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid card player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark P. O'Loughlin Sr. in 2001; and grandson, Michael J. Murphy in 1976.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Kay Olson of Seattle, Carol J. O'Loughlin of Ketchum, Idaho, and Patty O. Murphy of Billings; sons, Mark O'Loughlin Jr. of Great Falls and Frank O'Loughlin of Evergreen, Colo .; sister, Mary Thronson of Great Falls; and six grandchildren.

O'Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
