Robert "Bob" Curtis Hembd, 57, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at his home of a massive coronary.
Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
Robert was born on Aug. 8, 1946, to John and Patricia (Patterson) Hembd in Wolf Point. He attended schools in Wolf Point until the family moved to Billings in 1952. Bob graduated from high school in Billings and then attended the DeVry Institute in Phoenix. He entered into the U.S. Army as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and served from 1963 to 1967, when he was honorably discharged.
Bob returned to Billings where he met Judy Rae Calkin. They were married on Dec. 20, 1969. The couple made their home in Billings, until they moved to Loma in 1983. Bob worked for Dick Ervin Trucking in Shelby, and the family moved to Havre in 1992.
Bob's interests were work and carpentry. The light of his life was his granddaughter, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Hembd.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hembd of Havre; son, John Harper of Texas; daughter, Jennifer Hembd of Bedford, Texas; granddaughter, Madison Hembd of Bedford, Texas; sister, Patricia Stevens of Billings; and brother, John Hembd of Billings.
Memorial in Bob's honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2411, Great Falls, MT 59403.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
