Brothers, Fuzesy named to Montana team

Havre High's Cory Brothers has received the prestigious honor of being named to represent the state of Montana in the Montana-Wyoming All-star Basketball series.

The Montana teams were selected by the Midland Roundtable, a Yellowstone County civic organization.

Joining Brothers on the the squad are Ryan Bagley and Don DeGooyer of Class AA state champion CMR. Class A champ Libby will be represented by Kyle Stantus. Also on the team are Jordan Hasquet of Missoula Sentinel, Casey Briggs of Butte, Chase Sukut of Billings West, Keithan Gregg of Cut Bank, Chris Sundberg and Dane Fisher of St. Labre.

The boys team will be coached by former Absarokee coach Al Walker.

On the girls side, Class A MVP Jolene Fuzesy has been named to the Montana squad. Fuzesy, who averaged 27 points a game for Havre High this season, has transferred back to Malta.

The team will be led by Mandy Morales and Dana Conway of Class AA champ Billings West. Other players include Johanna Closson of Whitefish, Kori Bauman of Fairfield, Tamara Guardipee of Browning, Lacey Haughian of Terry, Stephanie Neubauer of Wolf Point and Sara Tuomi of Billings Senior.

The girls team will be coached by Rocky Mountain College head women's coach Brian Henderson.

The games are scheduled for June 11 in Sheridan, Wyo. and June 12 in Billings.
