JANET BOE obituary

Janet Maxine Boe, 69, died at her home Wednesday, March 24, 2004, after a battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Willis Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery and a fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the services at the graveside.

Janet was born on Feb. 24, 1935, in Chinook to Lester and Rose Marie (LaTray) Rattey. She was raised and educated in the Chinook and Harlem area.

After graduating from high school Janet married Jeff L. Boe on July 3, 1953 in Chinook. They divorced in 1964.

Janet then moved to Havre and raised seven children. Janet attended Montana State University-Northern and was in the nursing program. Janet was employed by the Havre Public Schools as a custodian. She worked there for 26 years and retired in 1999. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, country drives, attending the Emmanuel Baptist Church, gardening and reading.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeff Boe in 1975.

Survivors include her daughter, Meldonna (John) Keeling of Minneapolis, Minn.; sons, Henry Boe of Great Falls, Clinton Boe of Havre, Cody (Melissa) Boe of Laurel, Sheldon Boe of Havre, Larry (Tami) Boe of Havre; eight grandsons; and two granddaughters.

Memorials may be made to Bear Paw Hospice, 30 W. 13th St., Havre, MT 59501.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
