GREAT FALLS - Corrine S. Kleinhans, 69, of Great Falls and formerly of Havre, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at a Great Falls hospital of heart failure.
A memorial was held Saturday at Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory.
Corrine was born on Aug. 19, 1934, in Plentywood, where she was raised and educated.
She married Dean Hatvick in Scobey in 1951. She was bookkeeper and treasurer of Missouri Valley Trails bus line in Havre that was owned by her husband. She moved to Great Falls and worked for Intermountain Transportation in 1976. She also tended bar at the Hangout and Westside bars. She and Dean divorced in 1978.
Corrine married Dib Kleinhans in 1978 at the cabin on the Dearborn River.
While in Havre, Corrine was a worthy matron in Eastern Star, a den mother, a Girl Scout leader, and a Boy Scout pack leader for her two oldest sons.
Corrine loved the cabin on the Dearborn and took great joy in her dog, Cubber. Music and piano were two favorite pastimes and in later years she took an avid interest in bass guitar. She had a collection of spoons from around the world. She was a Cheesehead fan of the Green Bay Packers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dib Kleinhans in 1988.
Survivors include her partner of 16 years, Dennis Olson of Great Falls; daughter, Capri A. (Kim) Helgeson of Laramie, Wyo.; sons, Keith Hattwig and Joe (Patty) Hatvick of Mesa, Ariz., and Buzz (Debbie) Hatwigg of Billings; stepfather, Victor Fishell of Liscomb, Iowa; sisters, Ramona Parpart and Ardis (Lorring) Stevens of Williston, N.D., and Vickie (Hank) Penner of Liscomb; brother, Jerry (Elotie) Stevens of Great Falls; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Cascade County.
