CHINOOK - Debi Hofeldt, 51, died Thursday, March 5, 2004, at a Havre care center with her family by her side.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Assembly of God Church with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
Debi was born in
Kalispell to Robert and Peggy (Grimm) Engle on Sept. 9, 1952. She was the second oldest of five children.
Debi loved God, family, friends and got along with almost everyone she met. She loved the country and all kinds of pets. Debi was her happiest the day she married Bruce Hofeldt and they moved out north.
Her hobbies were reading, drawing, writing letters, crafts and collecting teddy bears. Her youngest brother got her hooked on NASCAR racing and driver Jeff Gordon #24.
Debi is survived by her daughters, April Haugen (fianc, Kris Baird) of Chinook, Tina (Brian) Jolley of Big Sandy, Michelle (Jay) Friede of Havre; six grandchildren; stepdaughters, Tara Hofeldt of Bozeman, Amber Hofeldt of Jamestown, N.D., Christy Branch of Conrad; stepson Tim Hofeldt of Chinook; mother Peggy Jackson of Chinook; sisters, Mitzi (Mark) Bennett of Fort Benton, Gina (Jim) Cowan of Havre; brothers, Rich Bernardi of Great Falls, Bruce Bernardi of Chinook.
Memorials may be sent to the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
