Carol G. Patrick, 85, died Thursday March 4, 2004, at a Great Falls hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Havre.
Carol was born July 27, 1918, at
Rudyard to Peter and Mary Larsen. She attended grade school at the Hue country school north of Rudyard. Carol graduated from Rudyard High School. She attended Northern Montana College and graduated with a teaching degree. For the next seven years, she taught at various country schools around Havre and Fort Benton.
On Jan. 16, 1949, she married Clifford H. Patrick. They raised six children on their farm 28 miles north of Hingham. After 25 years of farming. Clifford retired and they moved to Havre. Clifford died on April 21, 1992.
For the last 30 years, Carol has sewn quilt tops for the Ladies' Aid group of the Goldstone Lutheran Church north of Rudyard where she was a lifetime member.
After moving to Havre, Carol enjoyed looking around garage sales for stuffed toys and dolls. She cleaned the toys, mended them, dressed them in new clothes, and donated them to the Toys for Tots Program at Christmas. Carol also crocheted afghan squares and donated them for afghans that were given to those in need.
Carol enjoyed playing bridge with family and friends and doing the daily crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kyle; sisters, Muretta Porter and Phyllis Ramberg; and brother, Phillip Larsen.
Survivors include her sons, Kerry (Diana) of Hingham, Glenn (Carol) of Cardwell, Craig (Linda) of Hingham, and Brian (Patty) of Townsend; daughter, Bonnie (Dave) Cypher of Dillon; and 19 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Havre Jaycees Toys for Tots Program, P.O. Box 1327, Havre, MT 59501 or the charity of the donor's choice.
