NANCY ANDERSON obituary

CHINOOK - Nancy A. Anderson, 68, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at a Chinook nursing home due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the American Lutheran Church.

Nancy was born on April 3, 1935, in Hertel, Wis., to Hobert and

Esther O'Donnell. She attended grade school at Swamp View School and graduated at age 17 from Shell Lake High School at Shell Lake, Wis. She was a member of the Old Log Church there.

Nancy worked with a group of young woman checking fire maps of business, proper exits and fire equipment in Chicago, Ill. Later, she worked for an asphalt company checking hauling contracts in Wisconsin and at an U.S. post office in Saint Paul, Minn., before coming to Havre in the early 1960s. Nancy married Ted Kenowski in Shell Lake, Wis. He died at Havre in 1981.

Nancy married Leroy Anderson on Nov. 17, 1984, in Havre. She worked for the Havre Clinic for 14 years, until 1989. She also did home health care in the Chinook and Harlem area and did bookkeeping for Andy's Exxon Service in Chinook.

One of her hobbies was doing counted cross stiching, which she received awards from the Blaine and Hill County fairs.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one stepson Steve Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy "Andy" Anderson of Chinook; daughter, Theresa Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Paul Kenowski of Salmon, Idaho, and Mark Kenowski of New Jersey; brothers, Dean O'Donell of St. Paul, Minn., and Neil O'Donnell of Washburn, Mo.; sisters, Kay Krentz of Hertel, Wis., and Marion Brinken of Shell Lake, Wis.; 24 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Vicki Mickelson and Christine Fox, both of Missoula, and David Anderson of Grand Junctions, Colo.

Memorials may be sent to the American Lutheran Church or Sweet Memorial Nursing Home.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
