The Montana State University-Northern wrestling team continued its dual match dominance with a decisive 43-7 win over the University of Mary on Feb. 5.
The Lights lost just two matches in recording their 16th dual win of the season. It was the final dual for Northern which wrapped up its season with a 16-1 dual record - the only loss coming to nationally-ranked NCAA Division I Boise State a month ago.
Northern got major victories in all its wins as Caleb Schaeffer (133), Emmett Willson (197) and Mazi Burke (HWT) all won with pins.
At 157, Stryder Davis won by technical fall over Isaac Simburger, while Chris Smith (141) and Kyle Fisher (184) won by major decisions.
Aaron Jensen (165) and Jesse Juarez (174) picked up wins by forfeit.
Northern's losses came at 125 and 149.
At 125, top-ranked and defending NAIA national champion Aaron Hartnell defeated Northern's Jason Harrington 12-3. At 149, sixth-ranked Mike Champagne upset Northern's Anthony Haukenberry 6-4 in double overtime.
The Lights will be at home this weekend as they host the Northern Regional tournament on Saturday at the MSU-Northern gymnasium.
