CAROL PETERSON obituary

Carol Sue Peterson, 58, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at a Great Falls hospital of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Brad Ulgenes and the Rev. Catherine Card officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the First Lutheran Church. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Carol was born on Feb. 17, 1945, to Russell and Vineta (Mapes) Peterson in Havre. She was raised on the family farm north of Havre. Carol attended country school in North Havre and spent most of her adult life living in Havre.

Carol loved people, especially children and the elderly. She had an incredible memory for people's names, birthdays and anniversaries. She had a special place in her heart for people in need and was always willing to listen to those who needed a friend. Carol had recently moved to a care facility in Great Falls.

Carol loved her family, visiting with people, collecting dolls, embroidery and painting posters. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Russell Peterson.

Survivors include her mother, Vineta (Nita) Tweeten of Havre; stepfather, Ray Tweeten of Havre; brothers, Mark Peterson and Kim (Nola) Peterson, both of Havre; sister-in-law, Nancy Peterson of Havre; stepsister; Gina Tweeten Farnam of Laurel; stepbrothers, Chris Tweeten of Helena and Henry "Hank" Tweeten of Havre; long-time friend, Helen (Grams) Angelbeck of Havre; three nephews; and two nieces.

Memorials in Carol's honor may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 303 Sixth Ave., Havre, MT 59501, or the North Central Senior Citizens Center, 2 W. Second St., Havre, MT, 59501.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
