JERALD AMOR obituary

Jerald A. Amor, 62, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at a Havre care facility of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at the Edwards Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at the Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook.

Jerald was born on Sept. 30, 1941, to Harlen and Esther (Robley) Amor in Williston, N.D. The family moved to Havre in 1953. Jerald graduated from Havre High School in 1958. He enlisted in the Montana National Guard and attended college at Northern Montana College, now MSU-Northern. He then worked for Burlington Northern Railway until retirement in 1996.

In 1972, he married Faye Kessel.

Jerald loved to refinish antiques. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and dog, Scruffy.

Jerald was preceded in death by his father, Harlen Amor.

Survivors include his mother, Esther Amor of Havre; sons, Timothy M. Smith of San Jose, Calif., Marcus Smith and Jerald Amor, both of Palm Springs, Calif .; daughters, Melissa Jamieson of Big Sandy and Vanessa Lewis of Melpitas, Calif .; brother, Duane Amor of Havre; sister, Lorraine Wood of Great Falls; and 11 grandchildren.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home in Havre and Edward's Funeral Home in Chinook.
