Cable service interrupted for upgrade

Cable subscribers may experience temporary service outages over the next month as crews connect existing household cable lines to new fiber-optic main lines that were installed last summer.

After warmer temperatures returned to Havre late last week, crews have been working to get 3,400 Havre households switched over to the new cables, said Bonnie Hansen, Hi-Line general manager for Bresnan Communications. Crews began splicing the new cables about two months ago, but there are more outages right now because more crews are working, she said.
