HARLEM/MALTA - Louisa Miller, 96, a retired cook, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at a Malta nursing home of natural causes.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Little Gym at Harlem High School. Interment will be in the Harlem Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Center in Malta. Louisa was born on July 1, 1907, at Eden, Utah, to James and Rosetta (Bingham) Shupe. She was raised in Utah and Idaho and came to Montana in 1919.
She married Henry F. Miller on Sept. 24, 1924, in Chinook.
She lived in Harlem for most of her life. She was a cook for Frip's Caf for many years. She had been at the Phillips County Good Samaritan Center for the last four years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Miller on Jan. 12, 1967; sons, Mike, Ben, Bill, Chub, and Danny; daughter, Pat; and sister, Florence.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas J. Miller and Larry E. Miller, both of Malta, and John R. Miller of Harlem; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
