Annie Ash, 79, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at a Great Falls nursing home.
Cremation has taken place at her request. No services are scheduled at this time.
Annie was born on April 1, 1924, to Wilfred and Ada (Lindley) Heap in Swinton, Lancashire, England. She was raised and educated in England.
She married Percy Boettger in Kent England in 1948. Annie was a war bride and came to the United States on the Queen Mary. The couple made their home in Havre and had two children. The couple later divorced.
Annie married Emil Ash in 1969 in Havre. Annie worked for Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services as a bookkepper.
Annie was active in the Havre community and was a member of the VFW Auxillary No. 497 and the Eagles Auxillary No. 166.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil Ash; and grandchild, Ross Smith Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Smith of Fort Benton; son, Glenn A. Boettger of Conrad; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
