ULIE AZURE obituary

Julie Martell Azure, 49, of Havre died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, after a long battle with cancer.

Visitation will be between 1 and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. A funeral service will

be 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Ken Azure officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Julie was born on Jan. 12, 1954, in Mason City, Iowa, to Julian and Ruth Martell.

She married Robert Azure on Oct. 17, 1974.

Julie was employed at Hillview Apartments in Havre for the past eight years as an assistant manager.

Julie enjoyed fishing, camping, crossword puzzles, reading and writing poetry. She fulfilled her life dream of seeing the ocean in 2002. The last four years of her life were spent with her family and vacationing.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Valeta Burt; niece, Carmen Martell; adopted family, Nathan, Polly, Amber and Abbigail Estell, all of Lincoln, Neb.; and best friend, Daisy Sherman of Havre.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Azure Sr.; children, Kaycee (Rick Sr.) Clark and Robert (Stacie) Azure Jr. of Havre; eight grandchildren, all of Havre; sister, Nancy (George) Martell of Wolf Point; brothers, Charles (Lila) Martell, Robert (Serena) Martell, all of Wolf Point, and William (Marilyn) Smith of Iowa; mother-in-law, Bonnie Nelson; five brothers-in-law, all of Wolf Point; four sisters-in-law, all of Wolf Point; and many nieces and nephews.
