Wes Walters, 66, of Havre died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, in Mesa, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Havre.
Wes was born to Lester and Lucille Walters in Big Lake,
Minn., on May 25, 1937. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.
Wes had a great railroad career with the former N.P.R.R. and the present BNSF. His profession took him from Minneapolis to Laurel and Great Falls to Mandan, N.D. and Havre. He was respected by his friends and coworkers.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Muriel Wilts.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughters, Sandy (Tom) Bourgois, Joni (Eugene) Hellman, Shari (Steve) Wagner and Janet Formanack; brother, Dennis (Sharon) Walters; brothers-in-law, Dave (Carol) Biorn and Harlan Wilts; special mother-in-law, Eileen Biorn; nine grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital of Spokane, Wash., or to the donor's choice.
His charming wit and fun-loving nature touched many lives. He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that his illness is finally over and he is at peace with the Lord.
