Alyce E. Beavens, 89, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Eagles Manor with the Rev. Catherine Card officiating. A funeral service and
burial will be held at the Miller- Woodlawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Bremerton, Wash.
Alyce was born June 1, 1914, to Martin and Karen (Johannas) Jensen in Barr. She grew up north of Hinsdale and attended a country school.
She married William Beavens on Oct. 1, 1948, in Tacoma, Wash.
She moved to Havre in 1996 after her husband's death to be closer to family. She lived at the Eagles Manor.
Alyce enjoyed trips to the family farm in Hinsdale and nature reading. She enjoyed visiting with people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Beavens; daughters, Andrea Tinney and Emily Davis; brother, Melvin Jensen; and sisters, Anna and Gladys.
She is survived by her great-granddaughter Kiera Peterson of Havre; and great-grandsons, Derek Peterson of Havre, Mike Tinney and Patrick Tinney; and four great -great -grandchildren.
Memorials in Alyce's honor may be sent to: The First Lutheran Church or a Memorial of one's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
