ROCKY BOY - Edward James Arkinson, 50, of Rocky Boy died on Sunday, June 29, 2003, at a Havre hospital of complications of diabetes.
The wake service began Sunday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at Rocky Boy. A traditional funeral service will be held at 11
a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow the service at the Rocky Boy Cemetery.
Edward was born on May 5, 1953, at Rocky Boy to Thomas and Maggie (Coffee) Arkinson. He attended school at Rocky Boy and at Wahpeton, N.D., and also SIPI Indian College in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was a member of the Native American Church at Rocky Boy and also enjoyed hand games, arts and crafts. Edward also helped out at ceremonial activities.
His main enjoyment was fellowship with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his brother, Earl Arkinson of Rocky Boy; adopted brother, Roger Wind Boy Jr. of Rocky Boy; sisters, Pauline Bridges, Pearl Whitford, Darlene Belgarde and Marlene Piapot, all of Rocky Boy and Arlene Arkinson of Bozeman; 18 nieces; and seven nephews.
Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
